Hi, my name is Maria Sebeny. I have been with ABC Barn Children Place since August 2006. I have studied at Cuyamaca and Grossmont College and have earned 18 units in Early Childhood Education. Also, I taught in Mexico as an elementary school teacher where I had the pleasure of teaching kindergartners for three years.
I have been married since 1988 and have two beautiful grown up children. They truly are the joy of my life and part of the reason that I decided a career in teaching was for me. On my days off, I enjoy spending time with my family. My favorite hobbies are long bike rides, puzzles, exercising and going to the beach.
I enjoy working with children of all ages, because I know I can be a positive role model in their lives. I am constantly guiding and encouraging their curious nature to discover and learn new things. I love planning and participating in all new activities and helping to produce an environment where children can work and play together as a team. My hope is to get to know each child and their families so that we can work together to make their experience at ABC Barn Children Place a positive one.
