At SVLC, we believe in caring for one another as members of the body of Christ (Galatians 6:10). For those who aren’t able to attend worship in person—due to health, mobility, or other life circumstances—our Care Team offers meaningful connection through companionship, communion, and spiritual support. No one is forgotten. No one is alone.
Church isn't just a place -- it's people who care.
The mission of the SVLC Care Team is simple yet meaningful: to offer connection, care, and support so that every member knows they are a valued part of our church family.
Visitation and Conversation: We respond to requests for visits, offering a warm presence and a listening ear.
Spiritual Support: Upon request, we provide spiritual care—including communion, guided by Pastor Marcus—to bring God’s word and the sacramental meal to those unable to attend worship in person
Church News and Updates: We keep members informed about services, events, and activities so they can stay involved and connected.
Ongoing Support: We communicate any needs shared during visits with church leadership for appropriate follow-up and care. We also check whether a visit from Pastor Marcus would be welcomed.
Confidentiality: All personal matters shared during visits are held in complete confidence by Care Team members.
Whether you feel called to offer care or you're in need of a caring connection, we’re here for you.
If you’d like to be part of this meaningful ministry—or if you know someone who would appreciate a visit—please contact the church office.
Your involvement helps ensure every member of our church family feels supported and cared for, wherever they may be.
